In addition to my Corporate and Editorial work I have been concentrating on shooting athletes and “active” people sweating and struggling to perfect their game and to be on top. There is a real drive behind these people and you can see it in their eyes. I am also creating more photo illustration types of imagery, taking advantage of this digital age and all the new tools at my disposal. For me, the transition from film is complete and I am like a kid in a candy store amazed at all the opportunities.
My action/lifestyle photography campaign for Dick’s Sporting Goods has netted a Gold ADDY and a Peoples Choice award. These are in addition to the numerous ADDY’s I’ve received for my advertising work as well as a “Best-In-Show” ADDY commendation and 3 Honorable Mentions in the IPA Lucie Awards. I’ve been contributing back to the photo community through my involvement in the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) where I served as Vice President for the South Florida Chapter for 3 years and was Sponsorship Chair for the Chicago chapter.
